Full Terms & Conditions

 

  1. This Promotion is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland, aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, its agents and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.

 

  1. Purchase is necessary. Please retain all packaging with the unique codes alongside an itemised receipt which states the date and time of purchase prior to entry, being within the Purchase Period, as one or both of these will be required for validation to enable the winner to receive their Prize. Internet access, phone, email address are required. A ROI bank account will be required to claim the Prize.

 

  1. Please note that while we want to encourage you to participate and enjoy the benefits of the Promotion we believe in responsible consumption of our products. DO NOT purchase more product than you can reasonably use or consume just to participate in this Promotion.

 

  1. Purchase Period: Purchase a Promotional Multipack between 00:01 GMT on the 1 February 2025 and 23:59 BST on the 31 March 2025 inclusive.

 

  1. Claim Period: If you find a Golden Can, you can claim your Prize between 00:01 GMT on the 1 February 2025 and 17:00 BST on the 30 May 2025 inclusive.

 

  1. To Enter: Purchase a Promotional Multipack of 7UP (see clause 7 for details) from a Participating Retailer (see clause 8 for list) and find a Golden Can to win. A total of 70 Golden Cans will be fairly and randomly distributed amongst Promotional Multipacks under the supervision of PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service.

 

  1. Promotional Multipacks: Only the following products that feature promotional artwork will qualify as a Promotional Multipack:

  1. How to claim a Prize: If, upon opening your Promotional Multipack, you find a Golden Can, you will be required to follow the instructions on the Golden Can by the end of the Claim Period. Keep this Golden Can as we will require it to validate your claim. Winners will be required to call the freephone number on the Can, during office hours only (09:00 – 17:30). When you call, you will be asked a series of verification questions, including your details (full name, email address, address, contact number and date of birth), the unique code on the Can, the retailer it was purchased from, plus the date and location of purchase. A photo of the Golden Can will be required via email. If entrants are unable to pass the verification checks, it will be to the discretion of the Promoter as to whether a Prize is issued. Any claims received that do not meet these requirements or are received after the Claim Period, will be void and invalid.

 

  1. There is no maximum number of entries permitted per person during the Purchase Period. The receipt must state the time and date of purchase, which must be prior to entry and within the Purchase Period.

 

  1. The Prizes: A total of 70 Golden Cans will be distributed across retailers stocking Promotional Multipacks. Each winner will win 1 x €700 cash.

 

  1. Further Prize Details and Conditions:
    1. The winners will receive their Prizes via bank transfer.
    2. The winners must have a valid Irish bank account.
    3. Winners are responsible for providing correct bank account details and the Promoter will not be liable for any Prize payments made into the wrong bank account.

 

  1. All Golden Cans have been made available to be won in a fair and random process, overseen for your complete confidence by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service. Due to the nature of the Promotion, it is not possible for multipacks to be evenly distributed amongst retailers stocking Promotional Multipacks. As such, there is the potential for Golden Cans to not appear in some retailers.

 

  1. Prize Acceptance: Once eligibility of a Prize is confirmed and the Prize is accepted, fulfilment of the Prize will take place within 28 days of acceptance of the Prize. In the unlikely event that a Prize does not arrive within 28 days, the winner must inform the Promoter by emailing [email protected] within a further 28 days. If a winner does not do so, the Promoter reserves the right to not reissue the Prize at its sole discretion.

 

  1. If a Golden Can is found by a person under the age of 18, the Prize must be claimed by their parent or legal guardian in the above manner.

 

  1. Transferability of winning Golden Cans: Golden Cans must not be sold for commercial gain in any way, including on online auction sites.  If the Promoter becomes aware that a Golden Can has been made available for sale, bought or sold, the Promoter reserves the right to refuse to redeem the Golden Can without payment of compensation to the entrant who submits the relevant Golden Can for verification as a valid win.

 

  1. Provided no objection is received from the winners, a winners list containing the surname and county of residence of the winners will be made available by the Promoter 4 weeks after the close of the Claim Period, for a period of 8 weeks. It will be available at www.promowinners.com/7UPGoldenCan. Winners can object to their details being published upon claiming their Prize. Without prejudice, the Promoter will provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland if requested by them.

 

  1. The Promoter may request that the winners participate in publicity arising from the Promotion. Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of Prize Acceptance.

 

  1. The Promoter seeks to run a fair and secure promotion and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms & Conditions, your entry/ies and claim/s (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified. Any Prize awarded may be void and recoverable, and the Promoter reserves the right to bar you from entering future promotions for a period of at least six months. For this reason, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to:

Verify the eligibility of claimants through multiple means by requesting such information it consider reasonably necessary for this purpose. Claim or a Prize may be withheld until verification is completed.

Disqualify claims that are not made directly by the individual participating in the Promotion.

Disqualify claims made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator.

Disqualify claims beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means.

Disqualify claimants who tamper with the claim process.

Disqualify claims which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions.

Cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.

 

  1. The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for any other form of compensation. If for any reason the Prizes are not available, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute that Prize for another of equal or greater value.

 

  1. No responsibility can be taken for claims which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The Promoter does not guarantee continuous or secure access to the freephone claim line.

 

  1. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion (JS15129) or accepting or using the/a Prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Promotor’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.

 

  1. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances.

 

  1. Any and all personal data provided by you in connection with this Promotion will be used solely by the Promoter (or its appointed agents) to: (i) assist with running the Promotion; and/or (ii) conduct analytics to improve the Promoter’s promotions, products, or services. The Promoter (or its appointed agents) will not contact you for reasons other than this Promotion unless you have provided your express consent.   1. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.

 

  1. By entering, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

 

  1. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.

 

  1. In the Republic of Ireland, this promotion is being carried out under a lottery license granted by the Dublin Metropolitan District Court on 9 October 2024. The lottery license is valid until 31 December 2025 and is held by Pieta House of First Floor Greenhills Retail Park, Greenhills Road, Tallaght Dublin 24, Dublin (Charity No: CHY16913).

 

  1. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland.
